Suffolk County Legislator Jack Eddington (WF-Medford), chair of the Public Safety Committee, celebrated South Ocean Middle School sixth graders’ graduation from the Gang Resistance Education And Training program. The program, run through the Sheriff’s Department, partners with schools to teach youngsters how to play a positive role in their community through achieving realistic goals, smart decision-making, effective communication, conflict resolution, anger management, and the power of saying no to crime and violence.
