Stop Bullying Video Challenge
The Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention are sponsoring a contest to encourage youth to submit original public service announcements (PSA) that showcase ways in which these youths are taking action against bullying and promoting a culture of kindness and respect within their communities. The contest is open to all youths ages 13 to 18 (at the time of entry). G.R.E.A.T. instructors may wish to encourage their current and past G.R.E.A.T. students to enter this contest, showing what they learned through the G.R.E.A.T. Program. The video must be 30 to 60 seconds in length and send a positive and informative message to youth about the importance of understanding bullying and being "more than a bystander." The top three videos will be posted on www.stopbullying.gov and recognized as the winners of the Stop Bullying Video Challenge. The grand prize winner will be selected from the top three videos by a public majority vote via challenge.gov. The grand prize winner will be awarded $2,000, and $500 each will be awarded to the two runners-up. The deadline for the submission is Wednesday, October 10, 2012.
